Updated study content
The official app now includes updated study content to help you get ready to pass your theory test.
Use hazard perception clips, take mock tests, and learn essential information on topics like first aid, advanced driver or rider assistance systems (ADAS or ARAS) and how to look after your car.
New visual media clips for riders!
We've saved the best for last with the biggest part of this app update: riders can now take advantage of the same high-quality visual media clips enjoyed by drivers!
To help make the theory test more accessible, we've added video clips in place of written case studies for the motorcycle study section. These visual media clips have been part of the car theory test revision materials and have now been added for motorcyclists.

Remember, the multiple-choice section of the theory test is based on 3 books:
- Know Your Traffic Signs (KYTS)
- The Official Highway Code (THC)
- The Official DVSA Guide to Driving – the essential skills (for drivers) and The Official DVSA Guide to Riding – the essential skills (for riders)
If you prefer book learning, all those titles are available in the Safe Driving for Life Shop. But for maximum convenience, the Highway Code is also available in The Official DVSA Theory Test Kit App for free! You can also buy The Official DVSA Guide to Driving – the essential skills as an in-app purchase.
