Emergency response drivers and riders

Emergency response drivers and riders

Emergency response drivers and riders are highly trained drivers and riders for

  • ambulances and paramedic services
  • blood and organ transfer services
  • fire and rescue services
  • police vehicles
  • armed services
  • VIP protection.

Emergency response driving and riding require outstanding driving skills to allow you to handle a vehicle safely in difficult situations and at high speed.

Before taking emergency response training, you can develop your driving skills using a course offered by organisations such as IAM or RoSPA.

You can also use the Roadcraft and Motorcycle Roadcraft books to help you study and improve your skills.
